Embassy Healthcare is seeking compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our team!

As a Nursing Assistant (STNA) you will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. You will be responsible for performing a variety of duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving patients, or changing linens.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring resident medical needs are being addressed
  • Providing physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities
  • Ensuring the patient receives appropriate nutritional needs based on care plans
  • Recording vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate
  • Gathering information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities
  • Observing or examining patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention
  • Documenting or otherwise reporting observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses

Additional duties will include:

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nurses and nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
  • Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
  • Periodically review the department’s and unit’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc. Make recommendations for revisions.
  • Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs, and activities.
  • Ensure that the Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and reflects the day-to-day nursing procedures performed on the unit.
  • Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your unit as required to the Director of Nursing.
  • Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
  • Ensure that all nursing service personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility’s quality assurance program of the nursing service department.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as may be requested.
  • Prepare the unit for pending facility surveys (inspections)
  • Periodically review the resident’s written discharge plans. Participate in the updating of the resident’s written discharge plans as required.
    Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan as necessary.
  • Participate in weekly care conferences conducted by the physiatrist.
  • Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
  • Ensure accuracy of the accident/incident reports as necessary.
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.

As an LPN, you would need to have the following abilities:

  • Must follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to interpret existing policies and procedures to nursing assistants, restorative nursing assistants, residents, families, and physicians.
  • Must supervise and participate in evaluating direct care and corrective action as necessary.
  • Must provide a report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary.
  • Must conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to the nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action.

Embassy Healthcare is currently seeking experienced Cooks and Dietary Aides to join our Dietary teams.

Candidates should have a desire to work with the elderly and possess a pleasant and professional demeanor. Previous Long Term Care experience, as well as previous cook experience, greatly preferred.

Job Duties will include:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
